This Sea-Dog Adjustable Antenna Base features dual swiveling mounts for full adjustability, letting the antenna angle be dialed in exactly rather than locked at a fixed position. A ratchet-style handle handles side or deck mounting, giving the same quick-release convenience found on higher-end antenna mounts at a more accessible price point. That combination covers most of what a boat owner would want from a general-purpose antenna base.

It's designed with an integral feed system for Loran cable, routing the cable internally rather than leaving it exposed to catch on gear or chafe against the mount over time. The base accepts any standard antenna using 1-inch 14 threads. That's a widely used thread standard, so it covers the vast majority of VHF and similar antennas on the market.

Construction is chrome-plated die-cast zinc with a mirror finish, giving the base a polished look that holds up to handling better than a painted or anodized surface would. It installs with four 1/4-inch fasteners, a straightforward bolt pattern that doesn't require specialty hardware to complete the mount.
