Scandvik Chrome Family Tap with Folding Spout

The Scandvik Chrome Family Tap with Folding Spout is a chrome galley tap whose spout folds flat when it is not in use. Fold it down and it clears a sink cover, a cutting board, or a shelf above the counter. The chrome finish suits galleys with chrome or stainless hardware.

Folding taps are popular on sailboats and small cruisers, where a sink cover often doubles as extra counter space. With the spout folded, the cover sits flat and the tap cannot be knocked by elbows or gear in rough water. Chrome is easy to wipe clean in a busy galley, and wiping it after use prevents spotting. It is a practical everyday tap.

Check the clearance above the sink with the spout up and the space it needs when folded before you install it. Seal the base to the counter with marine sealant and check the connection underneath for leaks once the water system is pressurized. A taller white folding tap is also in our faucets, showers & sinks.
