The Safe-T-Alert Gas Vapor Alarm is a UL listed unit in a black 2 inch instrument case, with a remote sensor for the bilge or engine compartment.

A 2 inch instrument case drops into a standard gauge hole alongside the tachometer and engine gauges rather than needing its own panel cutout. On a helm that is already full, that is often the deciding factor between fitting an alarm and not fitting one.

The sensor is remote from the display, which is the correct arrangement. Gasoline vapor sinks, so the sensor belongs in the bilge while the alarm belongs where it will be heard.
