The Rupp Top Gun Backing Plate is anodized aircraft aluminum made for bolt-in Top Gun and Z-30 outrigger bases. It's needed when the top isn't thick enough to support the bases. This plate fits a 2.4 inch hole.
Outriggers put a lot of leverage on their mounting point. A backing plate spreads that load across more of the hardtop. That helps prevent cracking or flexing.
It's sold individually, and two are required for a pair of bases. Install with sealant to keep water out. Check the available mounting space and surrounding hardware before installation so a correct part number does not turn into a clearance problem. Browse more outriggers and rigging.
