Rough Rider Whittler Blue Bone Folding Pocket Knife

The Rough Rider Whittler in Blue Bone combines three blades in one traditional pattern, a mirror-finished large clip blade paired with a small clip blade and a pen blade, fitted to a distinctive blue smooth bone handle with nickel silver bolsters and an inlay shield.

The whittler pattern is defined by that three-blade format, historically favored by working woodworkers who wanted both a full-size blade for rougher cutting and smaller, more controlled blades for fine detail carving, all folded neatly into one single, compact traditional knife. The large clip blade handles everyday cutting tasks, while the small clip and pen blades take over for detail work a larger blade can't manage as precisely. Blue smooth bone gives the handle an uncommon color, standing apart clearly from the browns, whites, and blacks that dominate most traditional cutlery lineups today.

There is no thumb stud here; each individual blade opens on a nail nick, backed by a slip joint, its spring tension standing in for a mechanical locking bar. Rough Rider's whittler pattern gives collectors a classic three-blade design in a distinctive color that's rarely seen in traditional cutlery. Explore more Traditional Knives.
