Description
The Roper Outlaw has a 3.25-inch satin partially serrated D2 tool steel drop point blade, a zebra wood handle, an extended tang, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4.38 inches.
Zebra wood is striped with dark bands running through pale heartwood, and because every piece is cut differently no two handles come out matching. The edge is split, plain toward the tip and serrated nearer the handle, so the controlled section handles detail work while the teeth take rope and webbing.
D2 holds a working edge far longer than the budget stainless usual at this price, and it needs to be dried after it gets wet since it is only semi-stainless. The extended tang is a tab past the pivot pushed with the thumb, so nothing protrudes from the blade to catch. Explore more Gentleman Linerlocks.
