Ronstan 45mm Removable Nylatron Wire Block

The Ronstan 45mm Removable Nylatron Wire Block is built for routing wire halyards, vang lines, and backstay systems without forcing the wire termination through the block. Its narrow groove is shaped for wire rather than ordinary rope, helping the cable sit correctly in the sheave as it turns through the block. The sheave can be removed for installation, so a terminated wire does not have to be cut or dismantled simply to fit the block. Flared cheeks help reduce chafe where the wire enters and leaves the block.

Grade 316 stainless-steel cheeks carry the load and provide corrosion resistance for exposed rigging locations. The Nylatron sheave gives the wire a durable, low-friction running surface without adding a heavy metal wheel. Ronstan lists the block for wire halyards as well as vang and backstay applications, all of which can see repeated changes in tension.
