Ronstan Series 30 Triple Becket Orbit Block

The Ronstan Series 30 Triple Becket Orbit Block combines three compact sheaves with an integrated becket for dinghy purchases that need a standing-end attachment on the moving block. That layout keeps a higher-ratio tackle tidy and avoids adding another separate fitting below the block. The Series 30 Orbit family is intended for mainsheet and spinnaker work on dinghies to roughly 5m (16 ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay controls in the same size range. Its low profile makes it a strong fit where clearance and moving weight are limited.

High-compression Acetal ball bearings support the rotating sheaves, while a secondary bearing surface maintains support as the load increases. Ronstan uses a reinforced polymer load frame to keep the body light and incorporates the becket directly into the compact structure. An SK75 Dyneema link replaces a heavier conventional metal head and gives the block useful articulation under changing load angles. The combination is designed to deliver low friction without making the tackle bulky.

The block is sized for line up to 8mm, with a maximum working load of 1,210 lb and a breaking load of 2,430 lb. Ronstan lists a weight of about 2.6 oz even with the becket included.
