RIGID Adapt E-Series 40 in Black Adaptive Light Bar

The RIGID Adapt E-Series 40 in Black Adaptive Light Bar takes the familiar E-Series housing and adds an adaptive control system inside. Rather than relying on a single fixed beam, it can change how the light is distributed as vehicle speed and operating conditions change. Three optical zones cover scene, driving, and spot functions, allowing the beam to transition from close-range coverage to longer-range projection. The bar can also be used in an all-on mode when the driver wants full output instead of the adaptive sequence.

Two layers of adaptive response manage that changing beam. Active Power Management monitors available power capacity, while Active View Technology uses an internal GPS module to determine vehicle speed. At lower speeds the system can emphasize broader nearby coverage, then shift toward driving and spot patterns as speed increases. That progression is designed to keep useful light where the driver needs it instead of forcing one beam shape to handle every situation. The transition between zones is intended to be seamless rather than abrupt.

The physical construction follows the heavy-duty approach of the E-Series, with an alloy housing and heat sink, an unbreakable polycarbonate lens, and a pressure-equalizing vent. The bar operates from 9 to 36V DC and uses a black exposed printed circuit board behind the optics. RIGID lists a 50,000-plus-hour LED lifespan and notes that the product is intended for off-road use only. A harness, relay, and switch are included so the adaptive system can be wired as a complete installation rather than requiring those core electrical components separately.

The package also includes stainless steel mounting brackets, a hardware kit, and installation instructions. Those parts support both the mechanical installation and the electrical side of the setup. Because the adaptive features depend on the bar’s internal control logic, following the supplied wiring and mounting instructions is important for proper operation. The unit is sold individually.
