The Raritan 4-Gallon Salt Feed System (with 12V Pump) is designed for boats operating in fresh or brackish water, for use exclusively with Lectra/San MC or electroScan Type I MSDs. It is designed for boaters whose toilet system requires salt water to function properly but who don't always operate in full seawater conditions.

The control panel monitors salinity and automatically adds salt solution to the MSD when needed, requiring pressurized freshwater at a minimum of 15 PSI (103 kPa). When activated, an electrical charge applied to patented plates generates disinfectant to kill viruses and bacteria, while a high-speed macerator breaks apart waste for greater contact with the disinfectant.
