If the pump doesn't prime within 7 seconds or runs dry for 5 seconds, the control shuts it down automatically, and it can be reset simply by cycling the switch off and on without needing to cut power. If power remains connected, the control jogs the macerator pump for a few milliseconds every 7 days to prevent impeller binding, and it shuts down the pump if draw exceeds 20 amps.
