PSS Shaft Seal, 2-Inch Shaft, 3.25-Inch Tube

The PSS shaft seal for a 2 in propeller shaft and 3.25 in stern tube is a dripless mechanical seal that replaces a traditional stuffing box. Instead of packing, it seals with a stainless steel rotor that turns against a stationary carbon face. That keeps the bilge dry and ends the routine of adjusting a packing gland.

Bellows compression holds the carbon and stainless faces together. The rotor turns with the shaft while the carbon piece stays fixed to the stern tube. Correct shaft size, tube size, and compressed length are all required for the seal to work properly.
