Pro-Shot Classic AR-15 .223/5.56 Cleaning Kit

The Pro-Shot Classic Box Kit for AR-15 rifles in .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO is set up for the parts of an AR that need the most attention. Along with bore tools, it includes a chamber brush and chamber mop for the locking lugs and chamber. Five 6.5 inch micro-polished stainless rod sections thread together for full barrel length. It all stores in a fitted hard case.

Inside you'll find five 6.5 inch premium stainless rod sections, a full-size swivel handle, a brass patch holder, a bore brush, a chamber brush and a chamber mop, plus Pro-Shot's standard cleaning accessories. Pro-Shot rods are premium stainless steel, burnished and micro-polished to a dense, mirror-smooth surface. Rifle and pistol accessories use the industry-standard 8-32 thread, and shotgun accessories use the standard 5/16-27 thread.

A rough or soft rod can pick up grit and drag it down the bore, and this finish resists holding onto it. The swivel handle lets the rod turn as you push, so brushes and jags follow the twist of the rifling instead of fighting it. The AR's chamber and barrel extension collect carbon that a bore brush can't reach, which is why the chamber brush and mop matter. Short rod sections also let you clean from the receiver end with the upper separated. Browse more gun cleaning and maintenance.
