Pro-Shot Classic .22/.223 Rifle Cleaning Kit

The Pro-Shot Classic Box Kit for .22 and .223 caliber rifles puts everything needed to clean a .22 rimfire, .223 Remington or 5.56mm rifle into one hard plastic case. It's built around Pro-Shot's micro-polished stainless rods, with a total working length of 32.5 inches. That reaches through standard rifle barrels without a joint snagging at the muzzle. The kit is caliber-specific, so the jag and mop fit the bore properly.

Inside you'll find premium stainless rod sections with a 32.5 inch total working length, a full-size swivel handle, a patch holder for .22 caliber and up, a .22-.223/5.56mm brass jag and cotton mop, a brass muzzle guard, Next Generation 1 Step cleaner and lubricant, 100% cotton flannel patches, a double-ended nylon bristle brush, Pro-Gold grease and a silicone-treated gun cloth. Pro-Shot rods are premium stainless steel, burnished and micro-polished to a dense, mirror-smooth surface. Rifle and pistol accessories use the industry-standard 8-32 thread, and shotgun accessories use the standard 5/16-27 thread.

A rough or soft rod can pick up grit and drag it down the bore, and this finish resists holding onto it. The swivel handle lets the rod turn as you push, so brushes and jags follow the twist of the rifling instead of fighting it. The brass muzzle guard keeps the rod centered at the crown, which protects the most accuracy-sensitive part of the barrel. Pro-Gold grease goes on high-friction parts like bolt lugs and cam surfaces, where oil alone runs off. Browse more gun cleaning and maintenance.
