The Perko Combination Masthead and All-Round Anchor Light is black polymer with a chrome plated zinc alloy top and a fold-down base, on 12VDC.
A fold-down base is what separates this from the plug-in version. It hinges flat rather than lifting out, so the light stays attached to the boat instead of being carried below and eventually mislaid. For a boat used regularly that is the more practical arrangement, since a light that lives in a locker gets left there.
The combination gives a 225 degree masthead arc under power and 360 degrees all round at anchor, meeting two separate legal requirements from one fitting.
