The Perko 1.5 in IPS bronze intake strainer protects raw water pumps on mid-size engines and systems that run a 1-1/2 in intake line. It is made in the USA with a heavy bronze housing. A removable basket catches weeds, shells, and debris before they reach the pump.

Bronze holds up below the waterline and in constant contact with salt water. The basket lifts out for cleaning through a service-oriented cover. Keeping it clean prevents restricted flow that can starve an engine of cooling water.
