The Outdoor Edge Wild Bone Combo has two 420J2 stainless knives, a 9.75-inch boning and fillet knife with a 5-inch blade and an 8.75-inch guthook skinner with a 4-inch blade, both in orange rubberized TPR handles with a nylon sheath.

The two cover the whole job. The boning and fillet blade is thin and flexible enough to follow bone and ribs, while the skinner's broad curved belly rides along hide, and neither does the other's work well. The guthook is a hooked notch in the skinner's spine, pulled under the hide to open an animal without the point reaching the organs underneath.

420J2 is a soft stainless chosen deliberately, resisting the corrosion blood and moisture cause and coming back to sharp quickly when both blades need touching up. TPR holds grip when hands are wet or bloodied, and orange keeps both knives findable on the ground. Explore more Hunting Knives.
