The All-Clear viewing window is the feature worth paying for. Green means the vest is properly armed, red means it needs re-arming before going out. Most inflatable vests hide that information behind an indicator pin that has to be found and inspected, and a vest nobody checks is a vest that may not inflate.

A sailing harness with soft loops and a lay-flat design is built in, so a tether clips directly without wearing a separate harness over the top. It can be switched down to manual-only inflation where automatic firing is not wanted, such as dinghy work where immersion is expected.
