The Onyx A/M-24 is an automatic and manual inflatable PFD in pink, sized for a 30 to 52-inch chest.

Pink is the most visible of the three colorways in daylight, which is worth more than it might sound. A head in the water is small and dark against a moving surface, and a bright shell above it is what a spotter picks up from a distance while the vest is still holding someone up.

The 30 to 52-inch chest range covers most adults, though a vest that will be worn over foul weather gear needs measuring over those layers rather than over a shirt. The automatic trigger fires on immersion with a pull-cord and oral tube as backups, and the vest can be switched to manual-only.

A padded neoprene collar and low-profile cut keep it wearable through a long day rather than something removed by mid-afternoon.
