Maretron Focus Tube with Dead Band Eliminator

The Maretron Focus Tube with Dead Band Eliminator is a mounting accessory for the TLM100 and TLM150 ultrasonic tank level monitors. It uses the SAE 5-bolt pattern found on most tank sender openings. The tube solves two limits of the sensor on its own.

First, it lets the sensor read accurately on non-displacement hulls at up to 15 degrees of pitch or roll. Without the tube, the sensor is limited to about 6 degrees. That matters on planing boats, where the tank is rarely level while underway.

Second, the dead band eliminator raises the sensor 2 inches above the top of the tank. Ultrasonic sensors can't read the last 2 inches right below them, so lifting the sensor lets it measure fluid all the way to the top. Check the available mounting space and surrounding hardware before installation so a correct part number does not turn into a clearance problem. Browse more marine networking.
