The Lee's Flush Mount Rod Holder is a 15-degree bar pin holder in all stainless steel with a 2.25 inch bore, model RH-534HS/XS.
A bar pin is a cross pin near the bottom of the tube that engages the slot in a rod butt, stopping the rod rotating under load. Without it a rod turns in the holder when a fish runs, which twists the reel out of position and can pull the rod free entirely.
The 2.25 inch bore is the large size, sized for heavy offshore rod butts rather than inshore tackle. Bore diameter should be measured against the rods actually used.
