Lansky Curved Blade Medium 280 Grit Hone Stone

The Lansky HR280 is a medium 280 grit curved blade hone for the Lansky Sharpening System.

A curved blade hone is round in section rather than flat, which is the only way to reach the inside of an inward curve. A flat stone touches a karambit, kukri or hawkbill only at the ends of the curve. Scythes and hawkbill blades have the same problem, and they are the reason this shape exists.

Two hundred and eighty grit is the medium stage, used after a coarse hone has established the edge and before a fine one finishes it.
