Description
The Klaken Riven has a 3.25-inch black finish Damascus steel reverse tanto blade, a black G10 handle, an extended tang, a thumb stud, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4.38 inches on a button lock.
The reverse tanto flips the usual geometry, putting the angled break on the spine rather than the edge. That leaves a strong acute tip above a continuous curved edge, so the blade slices like a drop point while keeping a tanto's tip strength. Damascus is forge-welded from alternating layers of steel, folded repeatedly and etched so the layers show, and no two blades come out the same.
A button lock puts a spring-loaded plunger through the blade tang, so the knife opens and closes one-handed without reaching across the blade path. Blackening a Damascus blade is unusual, since the pattern is normally the reason to buy it, and here it reads as texture rather than contrast. Explore more Modern EDC Linerlocks.
- Reverse tanto slices like a drop point, tip like a tanto
- Damascus pattern is different on every blade
- Button lock opens and closes with one hand
- 3.25-inch blade, 4.38 inches closed
