The Kershaw Brawler is based on aggressive, purposeful styling, a 3-inch black-coated 8Cr13MoV tanto blade with partial serrations set in an all-black Glass-Reinforced nylon handle for a knife that looks as capable as it actually is.
The tanto blade shape gives piercing strength, a high point angle and reinforced tip that push through tougher material, thick cardboard, layered packaging, dense rope, that a standard drop point can struggle with. Partial serrations along part of the edge add bite against fibrous material like webbing or cord, giving the Brawler two distinct cutting capabilities in one blade. The black traction coating hides scuffs and everyday wear noticeably better than a bright polish, and the GRN handle keeps overall weight manageable while staying secure in hand even when wet or gloved. An extended tang delivers a fast, reliable opening point, and a liner lock holds the blade securely open through use. The Brawler's overall proportions land right in the sweet spot for a hard-use EDC folder, substantial enough to feel confident in hand without tipping into the bulk of a dedicated tactical fixed blade.
Kershaw backs the Brawler with the same limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship that covers the full lineup, confidence in a knife built for buyers who want hard-use capability in an accessible everyday carry package. Explore more Assisted Opening Knives.
