Description

The Ka-Bar Becker Nessmuk has a 4.312-inch coyote tan coated 1095 Cro-Van blade with a full tang and a brown and tan Ultramid handle. Made in the USA.

The Nessmuk pattern is named for George Washington Sears, who wrote under that pen name in the 1880s and argued for a light woodcraft kit. His skinner had a wide, upswept belly and a dropped point, which is exactly what this blade has. That shape puts a long curved edge to work on hide, where a straight blade would need repositioning constantly.

1095 Cro-Van is Ka-Bar's carbon steel with chromium and vanadium added, tougher than plain 1095 and holding an edge better, and Ultramid is a glass-filled nylon that stays rigid in cold. Explore more Camp and Field Knives.
