The Jabsco 24V Diaphragm Fish Box Evacuation Pump (part 50900-1100) brings the same filterless fish box pump to boats with a 24-volt system. Sportfishing yachts and commercial boats often run 24V, and this model lets them use a pump built for fish box duty instead of a modified bilge pump. Rated output is roughly 5 GPM (19 L/min), and the inlet and outlet take 1-1/2-inch hose.
Inside, a diaphragm and large flapper valves handle scales, ice chips, and small bait pieces without a screen in the way. The pump self-primes, so it can be mounted in a dry spot above the fish box with a pickup hose running down. Running dry for a while at the end of the job will not harm it.
Use smooth-wall hose and avoid sharp bends, since kinks catch debris faster than the pump itself. Rinse the box and pump with fresh water after each trip to keep the valves seating cleanly. Keep hooks, lures, and large chunks of bait out of the drain. The 12V version and other well pumps are in our livewell and baitwell pumps.
