Guest On-Board 8-Amp 2-Bank Battery Charger

The Guest On-Board 8A 2-Bank Battery Charger has dedicated charging, sensing and control per output, rated IP67 and supplied prewired.

Eight amps across two banks is the small end of the Guest on-board range, sized for maintenance and slow overnight charging. That fits a boat kept on shore power between outings. Where batteries need recovering between a morning and afternoon session, the 20A version is the one that does it.

The energy-saving maintenance mode is worth understanding, since it changes what the charger costs to leave connected all season. Rather than holding float voltage continuously, it drops to a low-consumption state and checks periodically, which reduces both power use and the gassing that constant float causes.

Each output has its own charging, sensing and control, so the two banks are managed by their individual needs rather than a shared reading.
