GROCO 1.4-Gallon Drawdown Pressure Storage Tank

The GROCO PST-6 pressure storage tank smooths the delivery from an onboard water pump by storing pressurized water between pump cycles. A rubber bladder separates the pneumatic air charge from the system water, preventing the air cushion from becoming waterlogged during normal use. That stored pressure can reduce rapid pump cycling and help provide a steadier blend of hot and cold water at showers and faucets. The tank can be used in compatible fresh-water or salt-water systems after the pump.

The air charge is intended to be matched to the pump's cut-in pressure so the tank works with the pressure switch rather than against it. GROCO allows the PST tank to be mounted in any position, giving installers flexibility when locker or machinery-space geometry is tight. That integrated stand can help consolidate a pump-and-accumulator installation into a cleaner serviceable assembly. Mounting hardware is included, and the PST-6 incorporates a pump stand for compatible GROCO PJR, WSC-60, or WSC-80 pumps.

• Bladder separates air charge from system water
• Helps reduce rapid pump cycling
• Can be mounted in any position
• Supports steadier water-pressure delivery
• Includes mounting hardware and compatible pump stand

Set the tank's air charge with the water side depressurized and follow the pump manufacturer's pressure settings when matching the accumulator to the system. Mount the tank securely so vessel motion does not load the plumbing connection, and leave enough access to check the air charge later. After commissioning, run several faucet cycles and verify that the pump starts and stops normally without leakage at the tank connection.
