GROCO 1-Inch Bronze Sanitation Vented Loop

The GROCO bronze vented loop is designed to break a siphon in marine sanitation or engine-exhaust plumbing while keeping normal system odors from venting into the compartment. Its valve admits air when needed to stop siphoning, but it is arranged so air and odor do not freely escape during normal operation. That makes the loop useful where plumbing rises above the waterline and needs dependable anti-siphon protection. The top cap can also accept an overboard vent fitting when the installation requires the vent line to be routed outside the vessel.

GROCO uses an oversized removable vent valve that can be taken out for inspection or cleaning without tools. This service access matters in sanitation and exhaust systems because salt, scale, and debris can interfere with a small anti-siphon valve if it is ignored. When used in an exhaust application, the manufacturer requires the vent to be routed overboard rather than left open in the compartment. Mounting hardware is included, helping the loop stay fixed at the intended high point instead of hanging from the hose.

Mount the vented loop above the system's required waterline height and keep the valve accessible for periodic inspection.
