Description

The GROCO IBV-250-S in-line ball valve provides a compact full-flow shutoff for marine fuel or water plumbing. A selectable handle position helps the installer orient the operating sweep around nearby hoses, bulkheads, and equipment. Its female NPT connections let the valve install directly between threaded system components without an added flange assembly. The square opening in the handle can accept a standard ratchet when the valve is difficult to reach or needs extra leverage.

The IBV-250-S uses a 316 stainless-steel body with 304 stainless handle and trim and a solid chrome-plated brass ball rather than a hollow ball. A thumb-release locking mechanism helps keep the handle in the selected position instead of allowing an unintended change. The valve carries a 1000 WOG rating and is UL listed for fuel or water service. PTFE seats and seals support smooth operation, while the bonding attachment provides a connection point when required by the vessel's electrical-bonding plan. Its full-flow passage is intended to minimize restriction through the shutoff. This size keeps the body simple without the grease fitting used on larger members of the same valve family.

  • Female NPT connections for in-line installation
  • Thumb-release handle lock helps hold the selected position
  • Ratchet-compatible handle for difficult access
  • 1000 WOG pressure rating
  • UL listed for fuel or water service

Install the IBV-250-S with the handle accessible through its full travel and with enough clearance to use a ratchet if that feature may be needed later. Threaded connections should be assembled with sealant appropriate to the fluid and fitting materials, and supported piping should not place side load on the valve body. After pressurizing the system, inspect both threaded joints and cycle the valve several times to confirm smooth shutoff.
