Orange is the high-visibility option in the backspacer range. On a knife that gets set down on the ground or in a pack, the spine is the part still showing, and a bright line there is easier to spot than a dark one. A backspacer is also the cheapest way to change a knife's appearance, since it swaps without touching the scales or the pivot.
