The Flytanium Ball Cage Lock is a black titanium replacement lock cage with a slotted design, for the Spyderco Manix 2 and Manix 2 XL.
Titanium rather than aluminum is the difference from the anodized versions. It is harder and more wear resistant at the point where the cage takes the ball's load, and the black finish is applied to the metal rather than dyed into an oxide layer. The slotted design opens the cage up so the ball bearing shows through, which is the visual reason most people fit one.
It fits the Manix 2 and Manix 2 XL but not the lightweight models, which use pin construction with no liners for the cage to seat against. Flytanium states that this is neither produced nor endorsed by Spyderco and that fitting it may void the manufacturer's warranty. Explore more accessories.
