Description

The Egis TDR Series Dual Output Time Delay Relay keeps selected 12V equipment powered after ignition off, programmable from immediate to four hours.

Two independent outputs mean two different delays from one module. A video system might need thirty seconds to write and close files while a cooling fan needs twenty minutes to bring an enclosure down. One fixed delay would serve neither well.

Four hours is a long maximum, and it covers equipment that needs a properly extended run rather than a graceful shutdown. Cooling a compartment after a hot engine stop or completing a data transfer both fall into that range.

Cutting power abruptly is what damages equipment that was mid-operation. A recorder losing power while writing corrupts the file rather than simply stopping, and the damage is only discovered when the footage is needed. Explore more Relays, Combiners & Disconnects.

  • Two outputs give two different delays
  • A recorder needs seconds, a cooling fan needs minutes
  • Programmable from immediate to four hours
  • Abrupt power loss corrupts a file mid-write
