Description

The DMT Dia-Fold Serrated Sharpener is a 4 inch red fine-grit diamond cone with a folding handle.

A cone rather than a flat stone is what lets this reach into serrations. Each serration is a different diameter, and a tapered rod finds the right contact point on every one rather than riding across the tops. That is the problem with sharpening serrations on a bench stone: it flattens the teeth instead of restoring them.

The handle folds around the rod for storage, so nothing is exposed in a pocket or a pack and the rod stays clean. Diamond abrasive cuts any steel including the powder and tool steels that ceramic struggles with, and red marks the fine grit in DMT's color coding. Explore more sharpeners.

  • Tapered cone reaches into every serration size
  • A bench stone flattens serrations rather than sharpening them
  • Handle folds around the rod for storage
  • Diamond cuts any steel, red marks fine grit
