The DMT Diamond Whetstone is an 8 x 2-5/8 in bench stone with a coarse 325 mesh diamond surface. Coarse diamond removes metal fast to repair chips and reshape dull edges. It works on everything from soft stainless to hard tool steels.
The long surface gives room for full, smooth strokes on large knives and tools. Diamond stones need no oil, and you can use them dry or with a little water. The surface stays flat, so it keeps giving an even bevel for years.
A wood storage box protects the stone on the bench. Follow it with a fine or extra fine stone for a polished edge. Rinse and dry the stone after use. Compare it with the rest of our sharpeners.
