Digital Yacht CO Alert NMEA 2000 Carbon Monoxide Alarm

The Digital Yacht CO Alert is a carbon monoxide alarm built for boats and connected to NMEA 2000. Household alarms have limits on board, since their batteries tend to expire during seasonal use and a cabin alarm may not be heard over a running engine. CO Alert runs on DC power and is UL listed.

It sounds a loud local alarm and also sends a standard NMEA 2000 alert, so a warning pops up on compatible MFDs at the helm. Digital Yacht notes Garmin currently has the best support for these pop-ups. The unit continuously checks itself for faults, sends an alert if one occurs, and has a test function.

Power draw is very low, so it can stay on all the time. Multiple detectors can run on the same network for multi-cabin boats, using a programmable NMEA 2000 instance field.
