The Digital Yacht BM100 is a battery monitoring package with a 500A SmartShunt and a veKonverter, feeding an NMEA 2000 multifunction display.
Using the chartplotter as the display is the whole idea, and it removes the panel gauge entirely. Battery information sitting on its own dedicated screen tends to go unread. On the plotter it appears alongside everything else already being watched.
The SmartShunt measures voltage and current, then calculates state of charge and time remaining. It also stores historical data such as deepest discharge, which is what reveals whether a bank is being treated well over months rather than at a single moment.
