Description

The Rite Edge Damascus Skinner Blade is a 7.63 inch blank with a 4.25 inch Damascus steel clip point blade.

This is a blade blank for knifemaking rather than a finished knife. The blade and tang are done, and the buyer fits scales and a guard to complete it. Damascus is made by forge-welding layers of different steels and then folding them, and the pattern that shows after etching is the boundary between those layers rather than a surface treatment.

Because the pattern runs through the steel, it cannot wear off, and it reappears when the blade is etched again after regrinding. The clip point drops the tip below the spine line for control, with belly behind it for skinning, and the blank suits a hunting build for that. Explore more knives.

  • Blade blank for a knifemaking project
  • 4.25 inch Damascus clip point, 7.63 inches overall
  • Pattern runs through the steel and cannot wear off
  • Clip point profile suits a hunting build
