The Cold Steel SRK has a 6-inch black Tuff-Ex coated SK5 carbon steel clip point blade at 11 inches overall, a desert tan Kray-Ex handle, a lanyard hole and a black Secure-Ex belt sheath.

Desert tan is a military color adopted for arid environments, where olive drab reads dark against sand and stands out. Against dirt and dry vegetation it disappears in a way the OD green version does not. Everything else matches the standard SRK, which Cold Steel has sold to military and rescue buyers for decades on the argument that a 6-inch blade in tough carbon steel covers almost anything.
