The CJRB Gobi has a 3.5-inch stonewashed D2 tool steel blade, a black G10 handle, an extended tang, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 4.75 inches.

D2 holds high carbon for edge retention with enough chromium to resist most corrosion. It holds a working edge far longer than the budget stainless usual at this price, and it needs to be dried after it gets wet since it is only semi-stainless. Stonewashing leaves the blade already textured, so the scratches a working knife collects blend into the finish instead of standing out.

At 4.75 inches closed the Gobi fills a hand properly rather than perching in the fingers, which matters over a long cutting session. G10 is fiberglass cloth cured in resin, holding its shape through heat, cold and damp where molded plastic can distort. Explore more Modern EDC Linerlocks.
