C.E. Smith 1-5/16 Inch Clamp-On Horizontal Rod Holder

The C.E. Smith White Aluminum Horizontal Rod Holder is a clamp-on holder for 1-5/16 inch horizontal rails, in white powder coat over anodized aluminum.

Clamping to an existing rail avoids drilling into a gunwale or a tower. That matters on an aluminum boat or a tower where a through-bolted holder means a permanent hole, and it lets the holder be moved or removed without leaving anything behind.

The clamp is machined for a slip-resistant fit on marine aluminum rails and tower tubing. A clamp that rotates under load is worse than no holder, since a rod can end up pointing at the water with nobody near it. A sleeve is included for fit.

This is the horizontal-rail version; the vertical model handles upright tubing. The 3/8 inch blade, tapered rod liner and rod security hole are shared between them, with powder coat over full anodizing for corrosion resistance. Explore more rod holders.
