The C.E. Smith 0° Flush Mount Fishing Rod Holder is a 0 degree, 70 Series flush mount rod holder in 316 stainless steel. Its tube is 9 inches deep with a 2-1/8 inch inside diameter. A 0 degree holder keeps the rod straight up and down, which suits storage, rigging and kite or downrigger rods. 316 stainless steel is the marine grade that resists rust and pitting in saltwater far better than 304.
A stainless gimbal bar welded in place holds up to downriggers and heavy tackle. The black vinyl liner runs the full length of the tube and is keyed to the gimbal so it doesn't spin. The wide, low-profile cap adds mounting strength and a clean look on the gunwale. A flush mount sits low on the gunwale, so it doesn't snag lines or clothing when the holder is empty.
It fits a 2-3/16 inch hole and installs without screws through the cap, using the included backing plate and installation nut with C.E. Smith's #53679 installation socket.
