Description

The C.E. Smith 80 Series 0 Degree Swivel Flush Mount Rod Holder is a stainless flush mount with a rotating cup on a 1/2-inch pivot.

The swivel is what lets a rod follow a fish without being lifted out of the holder. A fixed flush mount points where it was installed. When a fish runs across the stern, the line drags across the transom or the rod has to come out. A rotating cup turns with the fight instead.

Zero degrees means the rod stands vertical rather than leaning outboard. That suits trolling straight back or storing rods upright in a cockpit, where the 30 degree version of the same holder angles them out over the water.

The cup is a one-piece stainless casting turning on a precision-machined fine-thread pivot. A single casting has no joint to work loose under load, and the tube is 10-1/2 inches long with a 1-7/8 inch inner diameter. Explore more rod holders.

  • The cup rotates so a rod follows a running fish
  • A fixed mount drags line across the transom
  • 0 degrees stands vertical, 30 degrees leans out
  • One-piece casting, no joint to work loose
