Description

The Browning Bowie has a 7.5-inch black stonewashed stainless bowie blade with a full tang at 12 inches overall, an ebony wood handle, a brass guard, an inlay shield and a black leather belt sheath.

Ebony is one of the densest woods used on knife handles, heavy enough to shift the balance back toward the hand on a long blade and hard enough to take a polish that looks closer to stone than timber. It is also brittle compared to walnut or hickory, so this is a handle to keep out of hard knocks rather than one to baton with.

The bowie profile puts a long clip and a deep belly on the blade, giving reach for camp work and a sweeping edge for skinning. A brass guard separates the edge from the grip, and full tang construction runs the steel the whole length of the handle. Explore more Camp and Field Knives.
