The BoatLIFE Git Rot quart wood restoration kit is built to penetrate and stabilize dry-rotted wood where the affected material can still be treated in place. The penetrating resin travels into porous damaged fibers and cures to reinforce remaining wood rather than simply covering the surface.

This repair approach is useful in localized areas where removing and replacing wood would be substantially more invasive. Successful treatment depends on reaching dry, accessible wood and allowing resin to penetrate the damaged network thoroughly. It is not a substitute for replacing material that has lost too much structure to carry its intended load.
