Description

The Blue Sea Systems 1842 M2 OLED Digital Bilge Meter monitors up to four bilges, tracking run time per hour, cycles per 24 hours and average cycles.

A float switch tells you a pump ran. This tells you how hard it is working, which is a different and far more useful thing. A pump that always ran twice a day and now runs eight times has announced a leak, weeks before the water reaches a level anyone would notice on a walk-through.

Alarms and the relay can be triggered on run time or cycle count, so the meter acts rather than only displaying. That turns a diagnostic into a warning system, which matters most on a boat left unattended between visits.

The isolated 500mA MOSFET external circuit relay can control an external circuit from any measured value. The alarm is 80 dB and the display auto-dims. Face 55 by 28 mm, running on 7 to 70V DC at 0.3 to 1.0 watt. Bilge float switches are not included. Explore more marine electrical meters.

  • Tracks how hard the pumps work, not just that they ran
  • A rising cycle count is a leak announcing itself early
  • Alarms trigger on run time or cycle count
  • Up to four bilges from one face
