Description

The Blue Sea Systems 1833 M2 DC Voltmeter reads 8 to 70 volts at 0.01 volt resolution and monitors up to three batteries on one display.

Resolution to two decimal places is not fussiness on a battery bank. The difference between 12.60 and 12.20 volts is roughly half the usable capacity of a lead acid bank. A meter that rounds to the nearest tenth hides exactly the range where the decision to run the engine gets made.

Three batteries on one display covers a house bank, a start bank and a thruster or windlass bank without a row of separate gauges. High and low voltage alarms are included, so a bank drifting out of range announces itself rather than waiting to be noticed.

The OLED display auto-dims, which keeps it readable without destroying night vision at the helm. The 92 dB alarm is easy to adjust and an isolated MOSFET relay is built in. Face 55 by 28 mm, running on 7 to 70V DC at 0.3 to 1.0 watt. Explore more marine electrical meters.

  • 0.01 volt resolution, not rounded to a tenth
  • 12.60 to 12.20 is half a lead acid bank's capacity
  • Three batteries on one display
  • High and low alarms with an auto-dimming face
