Beckson 36 in Thirsty-Mate Hand Pump with 9 ft Hose

The Beckson Thirsty-Mate 36-inch hand pump removes standing water without an electrical connection. This version includes a 9-foot reinforced flexible hose for routing discharge away from the work area. Its self-priming plunger design is useful for bilges, compartments, and other accessible low spots.

The nine-foot reinforced hose can be routed around obstacles between the bilge and the chosen discharge point. Beckson's removable foot valve allows the user to clear debris rather than discarding the pump after a clog. The polyvinyl body and shaft are intended to be nonconductive and resistant to corrosion.

The 9-foot hose reaches farther than the shorter Thirsty-Mate configurations, which can be useful in deep compartments. Beckson rates the 36-inch pump at about four strokes per gallon and a nominal 13 gallons per minute. Actual output depends on the pumping pace and the lift required at the discharge.
