Description

The Bear and Son Large Stockman has high-polished 1095 carbon steel clip, spey and sheepsfoot blades in smooth yellow Delrin with nickel silver bolsters and a 4th Generation shield, closing to 3.875 inches.

1095 carbon steel is unusual on a modern stockman, where stainless dominates. It takes a keener edge and resharpens faster, at the cost of a patina that develops with use. The three blades divide the work: the clip for general cutting, the sheepsfoot for controlled push cuts against a surface, and the spey for scraping and skinning without a point to puncture.

Bear and Son builds in Jacksonville, Alabama, and the 4th Generation shield marks the family's fourth generation in cutlery. Smooth Delrin polishes flat rather than jigged, showing the material's color without a machined texture. Explore more Stockman Knives.
