Description

The Barton Marine M8 Eye Flush-Mount Deck Plate provides a flush deck attachment point with a threaded M8 eye connection for temporary rigging and tie-down jobs. The plate is turned from solid stainless steel and sits close to the deck when the eye is removed, reducing the chance of creating a trip point. A supplied blanking plug seals the internal thread when the attachment eye is not in use. The sealed design also helps limit water entry through the fitting while keeping the threaded connection serviceable.

Turned from solid bar 316 stainless steel with a highly polished finish, the deck plates have a center anchoring hole in three standard metric thread sizes - M8, M10, and M12, each supplied with a stainless steel blanking plug. Designed to be mounted flush with the deck using three fixing bolts, the sealed internal thread prevents water ingress. The design prevents trip hazards on board when not in use. The range allows for a multitude of uses, including: temporary fixing eyes, boat tie downs, deck mounted boarding ladders, stand up blocks, davit mounts, life raft holders, dive tanks & other endless uses.

  • Flush mounting reduces trip hazards when the eye is removed
  • Blanking plug protects the internal thread between uses
  • Sealed threaded connection helps limit water entry
  • Removable eye provides a temporary deck attachment point

For the M8 Eye Flush-Mount Deck Plate, mount the plate flush with the deck using appropriate backing and sealant so the fitting remains secure when the threaded eye is loaded. When the eye is removed, reinstall the blanking plug to protect the internal thread and keep the fitting low-profile underfoot.
